Abstract

The present paper documents five ichnospecies viz., Ophiomorpha irregulaire, O. nodosa, Thalassinoides horizontalis, T. paradoxicus and T. suevicus from marly limestone of late Eocene Dinod Formation, exposed at the type locality of Dinod village, in the Cambay Basin. The present ichnofossils assemblage suggests that the late Eocene Dinod Formation was deposited in near shore/foreshore marine environment with moderate to high energy conditions and associated with lower intertidal to sub-tidal zones.
